Fusion Scrapbooking Classes

Fusion Scrapbooking is a BLEND of Digital Scrapbooking and Traditional Scrapbooking to create a FUSION of styles. Sign up for our great classes and learn how to create fabulous mini albums, bound and printed photobooks, calendars, cards and more.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 Basics 101
Learn how to create a new document, open your pictures, use the move tool, crop tool, rectangular marquee tool all while creating a great page using a pre-done template. Add a title, journaling box, change the font color, change your photo to black and white and learn how to save your work for printing and the internet in this action packed 90 minute class held in our Fusion Scrapbooking Computer Lab area using our high speed computers.
Skill Level: Beginner
General Computer Knowledge: you must know how to use a mouse and open and save a file off a USB drive. No previous knowledge of this software is required.

Photoshop Elements 6.0 Beyond the Basics - Take it to the NEXT level
In this class, learn how to use the elliptical and polygonal marquee tools, use PSD templates and clipping masks, add elements and do re-coloring of elements and more. Learn more tips and tricks with text as well as other fun and easy shortcuts using PSE 6.0.

Basic Photo Editing using Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0
Become a better photographer with the click our your MOUSE! Learn tips and tricks on how to get rid of red eye, blemishes, take unwanted items out of the background, change a photo to black and white and correct poor lighting and more. You won’t believe how great you can make your photos look after this simple 90 minute class!

Memory Mixer Beginner Class
Create amazing Photobooks using the easy drag and drop system (you can even use the autofill for instant books!), or use your own creativity to create your pages from scratch with this versatile program. Incorporate your own special style by embedding video clips and hidden hotspot areas and post your work as slide shows on your blog, Face-book site or anywhere on the web. Print from your home computer, use the memorybookscanada.com website or any local printer with the various printing options available.

Now that you know how fun and easy it is to use Memory Mixer, take it to the next level in this fun, action filled class. Learn how to incorporate music and video into your book. Create pages from scratch and use fun techniques like using your own photo for the background. Learn great ways to make your text stand out.

PXL Soft Beginner Class
This easy to learn and use, drag and drop software will have you creating Photobooks in no time! The program contains more than 250 ready to use templates, a library of borders, masks and backgrounds as well as font and text options. Learn how to easily use YOUR photo for the background, change any photo to black and white (or 5 other options at the click of a button), improve photos by using a simple “slider” and more. You can generate a slide show for viewing. Note that this class will teach the software only and your project cannot be saved and printed at home as the copies of the software in our lab only print directly to memorybookscanada.com, however, the software is available for purchase or rental. This is truly the easiest program to get your photobooks done!

This is a night for catching up on all your scrapbook pages and projects. During the evening you will be able to do a 45 minute project with a teacher (project kits are included in cost of Frenzy).

Classes are provided by Scrapbooker’s Paradise, your teachers and independent teachers from the community. All supplies are included for all classes in the material fee unless requested by the teacher. Please bring your own scissors, adhesives and personal trimmers to the classes, except for the Basics classes. All projects for classes are on display in the store. Please be sure to take Scrapbooking Basics before signing up for the more detailed classes, as these classes tend to run at a much faster pace then a basics or beginner class.
