This charming windowed twist-top box with matching card is sure to
please the recipient this Easter. I will show you a technique on how to
make die cut windows for a piece of cardstock normally too large to put
through the Cuttlebug. Using the Cuttlebug with folders and Spellbinders
will be the main focus in this creation. We will also be heat embossing
and learn a technique that guarantees a perfect tied bow each time.

Celebrate Spring

Interactive Cards
Join Andrea for a variety of
card making classes focused on interactive cards that engage the
recipient with motion. Each class will provide an opportunity to create
3or 4 variations on a particular type of card motion so that you have
all the skills to go home and create to your hearts content. Over the
next few months, cards Andrea will cover are: Spinner cards, Shaker
cards, Slider cards, Pop up cards and Waterfall cards. Stay tuned to the
class schedules for the ones offered each month.

Spinner cards will be the first style of cards offered in this series.
Spinner cards have an item on the front of these cards that moves from
side to side while rotating within the pathway determined by the card
maker. We will do 2 with straight lines, one with a deep arch and one
with a shallow ‘S’ shape. Stop by the store and play with the cards on
display. Join Andrea for an evening of fun creating original moving
cards.
Some additional techniques we will incorporate into these spinner cards
are: glimmer mist, using punches, using Tonic circle and wave cutters,
glimmer ritz, stickles and a mulberry flower.

Little Miracles

These
adorable and unique display cards are a delight to create, to give and
to receive. This card can be on display in the home of the new little
miracle and seen by those who arrive to welcome the new addition. Then
when it is time to put it away, it doesn’t have to
be put away with all the other cards; it can be displayed further by
creating a complimentary background and framed, or fit perfectly onto a
scrapbook page and add a couple more pictures of the baby or text about
the new arrival’s birth.
I will show you how to use the Scor Pal with this unique folding
template, create a faux Glossy Accents look, how to make velum flowers,
how to make Nestabilities pop-up frames, Spellbinders stencilling, and
how to ink a Cuttlebug embossed surface. We will also be heat embossing
and stamping.
In this class you will have the option of creating a boy or a girl
version and need to indicate your choice at sign up.

elaborate Mother’s Days cards (1 for Mom & 1 for Mom-in-law)
These two cards are totally different from each other. One will look
like a quarter circle mini-album that when opened will stand looking
like a half circle. The other is more traditional, but quite elaborate,
therefore requiring a special card box that we will construct (since it
will not easily fit into an envelope). We will be using Glitter Ritz,
Liquid Pearls, the Cuttlebug with folders and Spellbinders, Spellbinders
stencilling, stamping and heat embossing, learn a technique that
guarantees a perfect tied bow each time, learn to make ribbon flowers,
and more.

Accordion
Mini Album with 8 Technique Tags

This
elegant mini-album makes a wonderful keepsake or gift for a wedding,
Mother’s or Father’s day or for your favorite teacher. Andrea will show
you how to use chipboard, cardstock and terrifically tacky tape to
create a fully enclosed beautiful min-album embellished with ribbon,
glimmer mist and stickles. You will learn finishing techniques to make
your accordion album look polished and professional.
The 8 tags included in the album are all done in different techniques.
You’ll enjoy practicing techniques you may already know and learn a few
new ones. You will learn eyelet setting with the Crop-a-dile, 3 ways to
emboss, stamping into Utee to make impressions, using Bazzill In Stitchz,
using Bazzill Jewel Templates, Heidi Swapp Masks, and Glimmer mist just

Calendar

Stop
writing in all the birthdays and anniversaries every year on your
calendar. Instead, come create this fabulous perpetual card calendar
where all you have to do is flip the card each month. When you get to
December just flip again and you’re at January again.
This project will use a number of techniques – sanding Core’dinations
paper, inking Cuttlebug embossed surfaces, making your own velum
flowers, and ink distressing. We will also use Liquid Pearls, Cuttlebug
die cuts, Cricut cut-outs, and Spellbinder’s Nestabilities, and a border
punch. I will also have the 2 ½” Xyron Create-a-sticker to use as it
will be quite beneficial in assembling this project.

‘Paradise’
Pull Tag Mini Album

this color co-ordinated mini-album from scratch using patterned paper,
cardstock and ribbon. This mini-album would be perfect to scrap your
cruise, summer holiday or as akeepsake of your Caribbean Holiday event.
In this class you will have an opportunity to use the score-pal to speed
your work dramatically. Some of the techniques you will use include:
creating the binding using a Crop-a-dile and ribbon, Bazzill Jewel
template, create stitched embellishments, emboss with the Cuttlebug, and
stamp with Versamark to name a few. Be sure to stop by the store and
flip through this versatile mini-album to see all the neat techniques
included in its creation.

Using Heritage Makers software, come to this class and learn the hottest
new techniques in digital scrapbooking - making Photobooks!
Photobooks are the perfect way to scrapbook when you are pressed for
time, have lots of copies of items you want to do or just want to learn
a fun new "tool" to use for some of your scrapbook pages.

Media Techniques

Batik - Splatter - Spray and more to create a coil bound portfolio of
decorated papers that can be cut out and mounted on a card front or
framed as a mini piece of art. Some could also be used for collage or
used as backgrounds for stamping &/or stencilling or lettering. Multiple
water media techniques will be explored using acrylic dabbers, Smooch
Spritz, Walnut ink Antiquing spray, Potion No. 9 and glimmer mist. We
will be using the Zutter Bind-it-All to bind your papers.

Media Technique-Suminagashi

Decorate at least 5 different papers using techniques based on
Suminagashi - the ancient Japanese technique of decorating paper with
inks. It is believed to be the oldest form of marbling, originating in
China over 2,000 years ago. Make a simple portfolio to store your
beautiful papers.

The Sophisticated Man

It’s not as easy as we would like to come up with a card that is more
appealing to the man and can take longer to create. So let’s get
together and make some up to have on hand. This is a set of five cards
that will cover Birthday, Thank You, Sympathy, Anniversary, and
Congratulations.
In creating these cards you will learn how to produce a fold back paper
frame, age ink distress, create a faux stitching technique, embossed ink
resist, ink Cuttlebug folders as you emboss, and we will be making some
pop-up Nestabilities frames. Two of these cards will be a square format,
so you will learn how to make a square envelope using the Scor Pal.

Honour of Father

Creating cards for the masculine gender can be a challenge at times.
These cards will fit the bill. Techniques for this class include: 1) one
of the faux stitching techniques, 2) Creating Spellbinders Frames on a
mini easel card and 3) embellishing with Cricut cut-outs.
Accompanying these cards we will create matching little desktop frames
for your Dad, Dad-in-law, or husband, to hold a favorite picture. Please
bring to class two of your favorite photos that measure 2 5/8” W x 3 ½”
H. This set will be sure to touch the hearts of these men in your life.

inspirations for this set of four Birthday cards.
These bright and cheerful birthday cards have a summer air to them and

to make an Easel card along with a Gate Fold card, how to produce a fold
back paper frame, create a poufy print button flower, ink distressing, a
faux stitching technique, and an embossed ink resist technique. Plus we
